“Because innovation is a team sport. Some kinds of innovation are about defining problems the right way and bringing people from diverse backgrounds together to solve them. This type of challenge makes perfect sense for large brand organizations that not only want to accelerate innovation but also want to engage the community, bring visibility to their growth trajectories, and attract high-quality talent.”
“There are a lot of positive aspects of momentum now that are all pointing in the right direction, we are continuing to make noise and bringing people together and making sure those collaborations happen, that is an important function (of TenX Tech), too.”
CEO and founder Rajiv Menon joins The Intern Whisperer Podcast to open up about his personal journey to business growth and success, Startup Weekend, and the Orlando entrepreneur community.
“The turnout was impressive and greater than anticipated — so much so that we had a bottleneck at check-in. It really showed that the combined team — Synapse, Orlando Tech Council, and Orlando Economic Partnership — have found the right audience to speak to, and it is a great platform to launch other initiatives. Combining with Startup Weekend Orlando, Lean Startup Orlando, Immerse and Synapse to build Innovation Week might have helped, too.”

The growth of small businesses like Datanautix, which employs 10 people, is important for Central Florida. These companies often add local jobs and create economic impact as they scale. Part of Datanautix’s growth plans are to prove Orlando can support such high-tech startups.

The new Orlando Tech Council stands to fill the convener role of past tech groups, including the Orlando Tech Association and, most recently, the Central Florida Tech Alliance. The tech alliance dissolved in October, citing a lack of funds. Each member of the tech council committee previously was on the board of the tech alliance, but they see working with public/private economic development group Orlando Economic Partnership as key to the sustained success of the new tech group.
Today, the Orlando Economic Partnership (The Partnership) announced the formation of the Orlando Tech Council.
